Ricki Pamela Lake is an American actress and tabloid talk show host, perhaps best known for her long-running Ricki Lake talk show and starring in the original version of the film Hairspray.
In Fall 2007, Lake is expected to return to TV as the new host of ABC's America's Funniest Home Videos.
Lake was born in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York to Jill, a homemaker, and Barry Lake, a pharmacist. She attended Ithaca College and the Professional Children's School.
